THE AMATERASU GARDEN: for all the senses
Amaterasu is the mythical Japanese sun goddess. The sun is pivotal to this garden of the senses, as there are three terraces that 'follow' the sun from early morning to evening. Shrubs are perfumed, bamboo rustles with the wind, stone, decking and grass are textured underfoot. Importantly, in keeping with the brief and mood set, both the house and garden are co-joined.
